This Sunday's episode of "Undercover Boss" on CBS was shot, in part, locally at Calder Casino & Race Course last summer.
This Sunday's program will feature Churchill Downs Incorporated and the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Bill Carstanjen, as he “walks in the shoes” of various team members at CDI tracks, including Calder. The show will air on Sunday, March 14 at 9 p.m. on CBS (WFOR Channel 4 in South Florida).
Producers of the show selected the subjects with whom Bill would be working. At Calder, they selected a trainer and one of our track maintenance team members. Though the trainer at Calder isn’t employed by CDI, the show’s producers wanted to demonstrate the relationship between horsemen and the track. Calder's own John Marshall – Vice President & General Manager of Racing – was involved when Bill’s identity was revealed, but we haven’t seen the show yet and don’t know if he “made the cut.”
