HORSE CARE, HORSE LOVER & HORSE TRY-IT PROGRAMS
Badge links: Cadette/Senior - Horse Care badge; Junior - Horse Lover's badge; Brownies - Horse Try-It 8:30 am - 2 pm, including lunch
The program features Calder's Mini Mascots Thunder & Lightning, track tours, a backside tour to meet horses close-up and trainers, starting gate workouts, silk room, jockey's room, scales room, race preparation, race presentation and group winner's circle photo. The program also includes handouts and exercises for troop leaders to complete with their members. You receive your badge at the end. The program including a large box lunch is $15 per person.
BACKSIDE TOURS
On a very limited basis during season with advance reservation

8:30 - 11:30 a.m.; lunch at 11:30 a.m.
This FREE tour includes a visit with a trainer, starting gate workouts, the expertise of a Women's Thoroughbred Action League member (they are involved with promoting racehorses to youth), free Junior Jockey Club (receive a free monthly newsletter to learn about racehorses)

GARDEN PADDOCK TOUR
Offered each race day
Typically 11:30 - 1:30 pm, with lunch
The Tour includes a visit the saddling enclosure and Paddock and watching the post parade. The grand finale is a photo in the winner's circle with the winning jockey. Includes an 8 x 10 color photo souvenir.
